Capital Title Expanding Into Dallas County

Capital Title of Texas completed the state licensing process for Dallas County September 20, 2004 and is set to continue its expansion into the county during the next quarter.  Capital Title opened its first location over a year ago and now operates 13 offices throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

“Transactions involving Dallas County properties represent a large portion of our business”, Marc Miller, president of Capital Title said.  Expanding our office network into Dallas County will meet the needs of our clients in that market and allow us to handle increased demand in that area”.

Marc Miller Named Board President of Collin County Children's Advocacy Center

Marc Miller, President and CEO of Capital Title of Texas, a subsidiary of Plains Capital Corporation, was recently named President of the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center Board of Directors.   Mr. Miller will serve a 12-month term as President of the Board and follows Doris Sparks.

Mr. Miller has given over six years of service to the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center.   His leadership there has had a direct impact starting with the formation of a partnership with CPS in the formation of the Rainbow Room, an emergency supply room for caseworkers when they have needs for children that are temporarily removed from homes.

Two years after taking over the top spot at the largest title company in Texas, Marc Miller has left American Title Co. to engineer the growth of a new subsidiary for PlainsCapital Corp. The Dallas-based company is the parent of PNB Financial, one of the largest independent banks in Texas with $2 billion in assets.

PlainsCapital got into the title business three months ago by aquiring Dallas-based West Star Title Co., which was recently renamed Capital Title of Texas. Miller said he hopes to have about a dozen branches before the end of the year.
