President
and CEO
Marc Miller
is a 27-year veteran of the title insurance industry. For
the majority of his career he has been based in Dallas,
Texas.
Miller began
his career in the title business with a national
underwriting company in 1977. His
sales record quickly took him into national account
development and eventually into national title service
management of eight offices spanning from Arizona to
Florida.
In the mid
1980’s, Miller was promoted into
a regional management position for Ticor Title Insurance
Company of California. The success of his territory
in the Southwest took him into direct operation management
where he continued to implement his strategy of selling
service platforms that exceed the market while never
losing touch with the importance of the relationship
to his clients.
Having
positioned his career in the Metroplex through the
mid 1990’s, Miller launched Texas Title Company
in 1996 as a dba of American Title Company. This
was the first co-branded title company in the Metroplex. In
less than 4 years Texas Title grew to the 15th largest
title company with coverage in Collin and Denton County.
In
2000 Miller was called upon to lead both Texas Title
Company and American Title Company as President. With
the responsibility of over 50 combined offices, his
track record continued to excel. In 2003, Miller
was promoted to CEO of both companies and began to
explore the changing landscape of the title insurance
industry, which launched an aggressive campaign of
identifying industry partnerships for controlled
business.
In
May of that same year Miller departed and launched
a new company with many of the employees who had
contributed to his success throughout the years. Capital
Title Company was launched in August 2003 in a strategic
alliance with Plains Capital Corporation. Today
the company is conducting business in the Dallas/Ft.
Worth Metroplex through 14 strategically located branch
offices. Using state-of-the-art technology
and a high level of personal customer service, Capital
Title is well on its way to being one of the top
ten title companies in the Metroplex.
Recognized as an industry expert in marketing and
real estate, Miller is a weekly columnist for the Plano
Star Courier and appears weekly as
co-host of KRLD’s “The Real
Estate Hour”, a two-hour call-in
radio show. He has served two terms on the board of
directors for the Collin County Association of Realtors® as
an affiliate appointee and has been recognized as
an Affiliate of the Year in the same association.
Miller
currently serves as the President of the board
of directors for the Collin County Children’s
Advocacy Center (www.cacplano.org)
where he has been an active board member for
6 years. And
finally, Miller advises that his greatest accomplishment
is being a Dad and single parent to his son Zach.
